Revelation 3:12 says to Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name. I think of all the people that have gone before me who are pillars in the church, pillars in life and most importantly as this verse says pillars in the Kingdom of God. They have been around a block or two more than I, they have weathered more storms than I can imagine, it has not all been comfort but they too faced crisis. It is all of this that they have overcome in Jesus that makes them beautiful for they remain victorious in Jesus, and resemble Jesus.... oh the beauty of the weather of life, that makes them look like Jesus and be like Jesus into my life and the lives of many others.
